At SMTM we believe Creators should own their platform, not platforms owning the Creators

Led by the former EVP of Commerce at BuzzFeed and funded by Daughters Capital, a consumer-tech incubator led by the founder of Reformation, SMTM’s mission is to create the best user experiences through innovations that drive the transition to creator owned platforms and financial empowerment

We are looking for a Director of Growth & Operations to play a critical role in determining the strategic direction of our startup. You will evaluate and decide on key initiatives, track their progress, and develop data-driven plans to continuously improve the business

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up data and reporting to identity key growth levers

  • Develop and test initiatives to scale revenue. This could include marketing tactics, structuring new partnerships, etc. You’ll work cross functionally to execute on these strategies and iterate on them constantly based on data-driven insights

  • Manage the P&L and build models to drive strategic decisions on areas like creator acquisition, revenue streams, and pricing

  • Work cross functionally with external partners and our internal creator success team to get creators live on our platform, eventually implementing a streamlined and scalable creator onboarding process

  • Manage and operationalize administrative tasks (e.g. handling contracts, invoices, etc.)

  • Partner with the tech org to translate processes into tech-enabled solutions

About You:

  • 4+ years of experience in business strategy, or related fields

  • All-around athlete who’s excited to be involved in all aspects of a fast paced startup

  • Analytical and data-driven; great at drawing actionable insights from raw data and presenting recommendations in a clear and concise manner

  • You thrive in ambiguity and want to build something from the ground up

  • You’re a hustler, unafraid of hard work, and a good team player
